Heart of Horse Sense

Heart of Horse Sense is a non-profit organization based in Marshall, NC, dedicated to providing trauma-informed equine therapy and learning for survivors of trauma. Originally focused on supporting Veterans, First Responders, At-Risk Youth, and their families, their mission has expanded to include all trauma survivors. Their vision is to ensure that every trauma survivor has access to counseling and learning with horses.

Through their educational programs, recurring Zoom introductions, onsite tours and demonstrations, as well as Mane Events held twice a year, Heart of Horse Sense offers opportunities for individuals and families to engage with their organization and learn about the healing power of horses. They are proud to be recognized with the GuideStar Gold Star Seal of Transparency and are committed to making counseling with horses available to those who can benefit most.
