Greenville Public Works Department

The Public Works Department is one of the government offices located in Greenville, N.C. The department employs more than 150 individuals and operates through several divisions, such as engineering, street maintenance, sanitation, fleet maintenance, inspections, building and grounds and administration. The department s engineering division is in charge of the construction management of all new and existing building structures, roadways and drainage projects. The Public Works Department also operates provides facilities for the disposal of household, commercial, industrial and construction waste and land clearing debris. The department s traffic services section is responsible for maintaining traffic signals. It also installs and maintains regulatory, warning and directional signs and pavement markings.
