Greene County Social Service Department

Edgecombe County Department of Social Services is a community-based agency that provides social services. The agency develops and manages activity centers for youths at risk by providing several referral and comprehensive health care services, including gang and drug prevention, transportation, parent education, and computer and job training. Edgecombe County Department of Social Services also establishes and maintains local community service centers that provide multicultural services in a culturally sensitive manner and promote general welfare of the community. In addition, it provides job referrals for talented students or future graduate students from one of its programs. Edgecombe County Department of Social Services is located in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Community and Health Education is a service division of Edgecombe County Health Department, which is governed by the Edgecombe County Government of North Carolina.
