The Green Heron Alehouse opened in 2013 as the Green Heron Club. We changed the name shortly after to better reflect what it is that we do. We are the only Alehouse in Stokes County and the favorite place for many hikers, mountain bikers, and paddlers to cap off their adventure with a cold ale from one of our 20 taps, a glass of wine, or a good old domestic brew... and a few good tales of the day's events.We are located just 2 miles from the front gate of Hanging Rock State Park and directly on the Dan River.We feature live music every Saturday night with bands ranging in style from Americana, folk, blues to rock and roll. We work in conjunction with the Stokes Art's Council and Blue Ridge Music Trails to produce a number of special events throughout the year as well.
