Mugen means “infinite” in Japanese, and it is that sense of limitless possibilities that clay artist Akira Satake brings to Gallery Mugen at Riverview Station in Asheville, NC’s River Arts District. The gallery showcases a wide range of styles of functional and sculptural ceramics, both gas and wood fired, all conceived and created by Akira. Gallery Mugen also presents special events throughout the year including joint exhibitions with guest artists, and offers ceramic workshops both online and in Akira's studio.
