The company is a part of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, which operates food supermarkets in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. Food Lion s stores offer nationally and regionally advertised branded products, as well as private-label products. It employs more than 70,000 associates and sells over 28,000 different products. The company is active in various community and charitable causes, including the Children s Miracle Network, America s Second Harvest, Easter Seals, the United Way, the American Red Cross and local schools. It is headquartered in Salisbury, N.C.
