Fisherman's Feast is Boston's oldest continuous Italian festival, dating back to 1910, and is a celebration of the devotion of immigrant Sicilian fishermen to the Madonna del Soccorso di Sciacca. The Feast features a variety of entertainment, including live music performances, and offers a wide selection of food from Italian sausages to pasta. It is organized by the descendants of the original immigrants and includes a religious procession through the streets of Boston's North End.
The Feast takes place annually in August and is held in the historic North End district of Boston. It is a free event that attracts visitors from all over with its traditional parades, street vendors, and the famous Sorrento Cheese tower building competition. The highlight of the Feast is the Flight of the Angel, which takes place on Sunday night and is a spectacular finale to the festivities.
