Fairview Elementary School

Located in Monroe, N.C., Fairview Elementary School is a part of Union County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in North Carolina with an enrollment of more than 37,000 students. The school teaches over 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of nearly 35 full-time certified teachers that includes teaching assistants, resource teachers, media specialists, psychologists, school nurses, speech therapists, Spanish instructors, physical education teachers, and art and music professionals. Fairview Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher organization that funds and supports academic activities and social events. The school also has a media center that provides a selection of reference books, archives, biographies, databases, encyclopedias, newspapers and magazines.
