My mother is a retired nurse, so I was drawn to medicine at an early age. Math and science were always my favorite subjects, and studying medicine allowed me to incorporate them into my required learning. \n I chose primary care as a specialty because I like the personal relationships and long-term connections that I'm able to build with my patients.
