Growing up, my parents, uncle, grandparents, great-grandmother and I all went to the same doctor. That was four generations that our doctor cared for - and four generations of relationship - and trust-building. \n When it came time to choose a medical specialty, I knew family medicine was right for me since I find it the specialty that values relationship-building the most. I experienced firsthand how a strong patient-physician and family-physician relationship allows a patient's needs to be better understood. It's a valuable tool that's been shown to improve wait times for a diagnosis, improve the success of office procedures, and increase patient satisfaction. \n I grew up in a small town in gorgeous northwest Connecticut and was raised by loving parents in a household that also included my grandma and an uncle who had special needs. I live in Charlotte with my significant other, who's also a resident physician. My favorite hobbies include golf, cooking, enjoying the outdoors and attending sporting events when I can (and watching on TV otherwise). My favorite teams include the UConn Huskies men's and women's basketball teams and the New York Mets.
