Emerald Doulas

History

Owners Melanie Patrick and Ashley Collins ran their own successful individual doula businesses for years prior to opening Emerald Doulas. They recognized that they had very common desires for their clients and the doula community and in early 2015 began collaborating to develop Emerald Doulas. Their driving desires were to raise the bar of professionalism in order to better serve clients, while at the same time providing support, mentoring, and work-life balance for their doulas, so that they could provide exemplary support for new families through pregnancy, birth, and baby's first year.

Specialties

Emerald Doulas is the Triangle Area's first full service doula agency. Born out of the desire to build community for new families, Emerald Doulas offers a streamlined way for families to get all of their birth and postpartum support needs met in one place. We provide pregnancy, birth, & postpartum support, live online evidence-based education, placenta encapsulation, and a variety of classes for all families to connect and bond as they prepare to welcome and adjust to a new baby in their lives.
