EmeraldCare offers a full range of professional medical services provided in the home under the direction of the patient s physician, and is based in Gastonia, N.C. Founded in 1979, serves more than 1,000 clients annually and its service area includes Gaston, Cleveland, Lincoln and Mecklenburg counties of North Carolina. It offers services, such as skilled nursing, including intravenous therapy, ostomy care, wound care and client and family education. It provides licensed physical therapists to work with clients and help them regain physical functions in various cases, including arthritis, burns, hip fracture and surgery, knee replacement and spinal cord injuries. EmeraldCare also offers nutrition and speech therapies, and assists patients and their families in ensuring that medical supplies made available for home health care needs.
