Elsewhere is a living museum, artist residency and collaborative laboratory set inside a three-story former thrift store housing a 58-year collection of material culture. Elsewhere serves as platform for site-specific experimentation, social action and interdisciplinary collaboration, drawing creative potential from a world of things. I met Mrs. Gray years ago through one of her sons. She was a real gem. I don't like the term "character", but she was one of those things. And a good mother. I wish I had gotten to know her....
