Durham Beauty Academy started off as a Dudley Beauty College. When the Dudley schools were split up, Sheila Parsons-Williams was able to take over the school and she named it Lashe' Beaut Academy. In 2006, the school underwent a change of ownership and a change of location, that is when the school became Durham Beauty Academy and it moved to its current location. The institution offers cosmetology, manicuring, natural hair, esthetics, and teacher training programs for state licensure. As a cosmetology school, Durham Beauty Academy provides hair, nail, and skin care services at a reduced price to the public.
