Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates, founded in 1979, specializes in cardiac and thoracic surgery. The practice performs more than 2,000 operations each year. In addition to heart bypass surgery, the practice performs procedures to repair and replace heart valves, repair aortic aneuryms, repair carotid arteries, and correct arrythmias that include atrial fibrillation. The center offers latest techniques, including minimally invasive surgery, beating heart bypass surgery and laser revascularization. It also offers a full range of thoracic procedures, including surgical treatment for lung cancer. The center s clinical team consists of cardiothoracic surgeons, surgical physician assistants and cardiac registered nurses.
