Dimitrios Paraskevas Lintzeris, DO

I became a doctor as a result from being inspired by watching my family physician as a child. My approach to patient care has always been simple--listen to the patient. I think that many questions can be answered by simply sitting down with the patient and listening. My areas of clinical interest and expertise include GI foregut surgery and colon surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling and hiking.

I chose to become a doctor because of the satisfaction I get by helping others improve their lives. My overall approach to patient care is to improve my patients quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing and riding my motorcycle.

Early on, life experiences taught me the importance of health and the impact it has on someone’s daily life, thus prompting a career in medicine. I believe providing coordinated, quality care is a team effort by placing the patients and their communities in the center of care. I have a holistic approach to medicine by understanding how lifestyle, environmental, cultural and social factors impact an individual’s well-being. I have a special interest in preventive care and quality improvement. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, hiking, learning about space and recently have taken an interest in gardening.
