Cooper Ford

Aaron was born and raised in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and after finishing high school there, graduated with a degree in Finance from Texas A&M University. In 1994, he married his wife of 23 years, Shelley and they have 4 beautiful daughters, 22, 20, 18, and 17. For the last 15 years, Aaron and his family have lived in Pinehurst which is about a 10-minute drive to his newly acquired Ford dealership, Cooper Ford, in Carthage, NC. As a family they attend Grace Church and have since they moved to the area. For the past 25 years, Aaron has been a part of the automotive community, working for dealerships and vendors. He began his automotive career in a high volume Chevrolet dealership in Oklahoma City selling cars. For the next two years, he worked hard to be among the top performers in the store and his efforts paid off with the opportunity to become the Finance Director for a Ford dealer in Arlington, TX. During his tenure there, he managed five F&I Managers within a store that sold 400-500 vehicles a month. Over the next several years, Aaron continued to expand his experience by working with a dealership vendor managing over 25 dealer groups and was then offered and accepted a partnership opportunity in Southern Pines, NC. He became the General Manager/Managing Partner for this group until he sold his ownership position back to the Group and continued his career by starting an F&I consulting and staffing firm of his own. After a few years, he sold his business and accepted a management position with Dent Wizard. During his time in the Carthage/Pinehurst area, he became familiar with Phillips Ford and its longtime family owner, Tommy Phillips. The Phillips philosophy of making the car buying experience the best it can be is one that Aaron shares with Phillips, which is why Aaron made the bold decision to go see Tommy Phillips about buying his dealership. Cooper Ford opened in September 2016 and is selling new Fords and pre-owned vehicles.
