Collins Cleaners at Matthews

History

Collins Cleaners was started by Patrick and Shelby Collins in 1992. Shelby and I were looking for a way to pay for our college books. Shelby worked for a local cleaners through high school, she had to teach me what dry cleaning was. Through the years we have raised our family in the dry cleaning industry from babies being pushed around in laundry baskets. We expanded about ten years ago into the commercial side of the dry cleaning business and now service over 100 commercial accounts. Five years ago we expanded into more of the retail market and now have five locations and forty employees. I look forward to where we go next!
