Strategically located in the greater Asheville, North Carolina area, R&D Plastics, Inc is positioned in the hub of plastics manufacturing activities in North and South Carolina. The various processors in this region consume more than fifty million pounds of plastic resin per year. Due to this large volume of activity, many major tool shops have located facilities in the region. R&D Plastics is one of 17 of the larger injection molders located within a fifty-mile radius. The R&D plant is just one-quarter of a mile from Asheville's airport and is served by the interstate highway system, making it easily accessible to a large number of truck lines. R&D Plastics is a versatile and growing injection molder in the southeast. Our building has 24, 000 square feet of manufacturing space, plus an additional 2, 000 square feet of engineering and administrative space. The plant layout also provides for an additional 12, 000 square feet of floor space, as needed. Current Utilities and storage are large enough to accomodate a capacity of 30 molding machines.
