City of New Bern Fire-Rescue
The New Bern Fire Rescue (NBFR) is the oldest chartered fire department in North Carolina, comprising 72 career firefighters and 3 volunteers dedicated to fire suppression, prevention, and administrative duties. Serving approximately 29 square miles from three fire stations, the department also offers various community services, including child passenger safety seat checks and smoke detector programs.
