The Chinqua Penn Walking Trail (CPWT) is a 1.6-mile circular trail located on Wentworth Street in Reidsville, North Carolina, within the 835 acres of the Upper Piedmont Research Station. Established in 1997, the trail offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore old-growth forests, ponds, and pastures while learning about the historical significance of the land once part of the Chinqua Penn Plantation.

Managed and maintained by volunteers with support from the research station staff, the trail features remnants of structures built from locally quarried stone and provides glimpses of the historic mansion. The CPWT invites all visitors to appreciate and respect this beautiful natural space, fostering a sense of stewardship among those who walk its paths.
