Chatham Arts Council

about ChathamArts, Chatham County Arts Council, is a not for profit organization that supports and presents the arts and artists in our community. We encourage community participation in the arts to enrich the quality of life of the county's residents. We foster arts awareness and education, and we encourage the use of arts as a tool for economic development. Chatham County Arts Council works to ensure that meaningful arts experiences are available to all of the state's citizens, including people with disabilities, patients and caregivers in healthcare settings, and older adults. The Arts Council is committed to ensuring that all of our services, events, and facilities are accessible. ChathamArts provides a variety of community-based programs throughout Chatham County. Services include a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary artist directory, arts in education programs, classes by and for artists, community events and festivals, an art gallery of locally-produced art in downtown Pittsboro, grants for community arts programs, and partnerships with other local organizations.
