The Chapel Hill Transit department provides a range of public transportation services for the residents and visitors of the Town of Chapel Hill and the communities of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. It operates administrative, operations, maintenance and nondepartmental divisions. The department offers fixed route and demand responsive services within an area of approximately 25 square miles.
