The Durham Rescue Mission, established in 1974, is the oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter in the Durham area, dedicated to restoring families and providing hope to individuals in need. It offers a range of essential services, including food, clothing, training, and Biblical counseling for men, women, and children, operating 24/7 to support those facing homelessness and addiction.
Through various programs like the Victory Program and Operation Warm Shelter, the Mission aims to address both immediate needs and long-term recovery, significantly impacting the local community. Funded primarily by generous donations and volunteer efforts, the organization seeks to mend lives and foster positive change in the Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill regions.

Visited again on a Saturday- pretty busy in the parking lot, to donate you drop clothes around the left side of the building and the guys out there are always so nice coming up and carry things...
N/CM/ MM. Lots of furniture & clothes. Glassware smalls. Take some time to go through. Prices seem High but you're supporting a non profit.
Great store with a huge selection, but one of the older female workers was rude and judgmental. I was buying a bra and a bustier top and she, even with wearing gloves, acted disgusted to hold them...
This place is ridiculous. They are selling twenty year old couches with stains and wear and tear for $400. There wasn't a couch there under $299 and the majority of them were in mediocre condition...
