Established in 1997, Guilford Child Health is a provider of primary and specialty health care services for children. It serves more than 35,000 infants, children and adolescents annually in Guilford County, N.C. The group offers treatment and care services for asthma, neurological disorders, common illnesses, and psychiatry and psychology problems. Guilford Child Health also provides on-site psychotherapy and counseling services, as well as offers medical care services for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, mental health issues, and learning and developmental disabilities. Its neurological services include diagnostic and therapeutic options for individuals with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy and migraines. The group provides the Take Charge Healthy Weight Initiative, which is a weight management program that includes nutrition education, dietitian counseling, on-site exercise classes and dance lessons.
