The Farrington Family Medical Center is a provider of health services in Salisbury in North Carolina. The center specializes in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as offers disease prevention and urgent care services. It provides diagnostic and treatment solutions for acute and chronic illnesses. The Farrington Family Medical Center also offers on-site laboratory and X-ray services. The center accepts insurance plans from several companies, such as Aetna and Inclusive Health. In addition, it manages an allergy clinic that provides evaluation and treatment for a range of disorders, such as asthma, hay fever and sinus infections. When I was young, I was fortunate to have a neighbor, a surgeon, who took on the role of mentoring me. I learned about his work and became interested in the medical field. In college, I worked in the operating room of my local hospital where I got to observe various procedures and became particularly interested in urology. Kidney stones were especially fascinating to me. This is what led me to urology as a specialty. Listening to my patients is one of the most important things I do. My goal is to work with them to understand their concerns, consider all treatment options and then exercise shared decision-making so together we can plan the best course of action. Whatever we choose, I will be as hands-on and involved in every part of their care as necessary. I am proud of my more than three decades of service at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, and of my role on the board of the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation. Being active in and available to serve my community has always been one of my highest priorities. My wife and I have three daughters, and we are excited to be transitioning into our roles as grandparents. When I am not working or spending time with my family, you can find me outside; I love all outdoor activities.
