Carolina Shin Karate was founded in 2012 at the same time as the Grand Opening of the World Headquarters of the World Tang Soo Do Association in Burlington, NC. Our founding Grandmaster, Jae C. Shin, wanted to offer a family-friendly, technically excellent martial arts program to children and adults of all ages at the International Headquarters to make training available for the community as well as for World Tang Soo Do members who visit the area. Carolina Shin has the privilege of having WTSDA Masters, Grandmasters and distinguished guests visit on a regular basis contributing to the excellence of the program.
