History
Carolina Rollergirls was founded in 2004 by Celia Fate and is the original roller derby league in North Carolina. We are proud to be one of the first leagues in the nation to form during the revival of roller derby. We are non-profit organization that supports and promotes women's sports, well-being and independence. CRG is run for the skaters, by the skaters with the help of volunteers and sponsors. We train tirelessly to present the highest level of athleticism and sport to the Raleigh, Durham, Triangle region. When not skating, the roller girls are raising money for other non-profit organizations. We have helped raise thousands of dollars for local groups including Special Olympics, Raleigh Pretty in Pink Foundation, Interfaith, InterAct and many others. It is our goal to continue helping women achieve their goals and be smart, strong and amazing.

I have always loved the Carolina Rollergirls. When we lived in Raleigh a few years back, we rarely missed a bout, and now that we're back in the Triangle, we were excited to head back to Dorton...
I guess I don't fully get the appeal of girls whizzing around and occasionally slamming into one another. To me, that's a combo of two things I already dislike: Nascar and kneepads. But it's a...
If you've seen "Whip It," you think you know how this works. Young, aggressive women wearing lots of protective gear whiz around a marked flat track trying to score points for their team while NOT...
