Founded in 1962, Carolina Friends School is a community school of more than 450 students 3 through 18 years of age. It has a 67-acre main campus that includes more than 12 classroom buildings, including libraries, science and computer laboratories, art and music studios, a performing arts center, gymnasium, playgrounds, and baseball and soccer fields. Carolina Friends School is approved by the Southern Association of Independent Schools. It is a member of the Friends Council on Education, an associate member of the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools and a member of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.
