History

The City of Raleigh and Bewegen Technologies, Inc. are proud to partner to bring bikeshare to our rapidly growing downtown. Cardinal Bikeshare is a public, self-serve bicycle rental system for short trips, comprising of 340 bikes across 32 stations. 70% of the fleet is equipped with electric-assist motors that provide riders with an extra boost when pedaling. Cardinal Bikeshare stations are located in downtown Raleigh, in southeast Raleigh, along Hillsborough Street, and at the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Definitely get the electric assist bikes. It makes a huge difference on Raleigh's hills. Great way to explore downtown.

Right now so many bikes are not working. The Citrix App indicates that bikes are available at a certain location, but for some reason they are inoperable and the platform won't release them....
