Canines for Service

Canines for Service, established in Wilmington in 1996, is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization and the longest operating, internationally accredited ADI service dog provider in North Carolina. They serve Veterans from all conflicts with service-connected post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), and/or mobility limitations at no cost and without any fundraising obligation.

Committed to creating life-changing canine partnerships, Canines for Service offers various programs such as Veterans Service Dogs, Canines for Therapy, and the Military Prison Program. They rely on volunteers, donations, and sponsorships to support their mission of serving those who have served our country.
