Pretty much just a ramp on the sound side of the island to get to a stretch of the beach known as Canadian Hole. Great for kite surfing and wind boarding. Also great if the ocean side is too rough...

Great area for the kids to play in the water without having to deal with the huge waves of NC. Highly recommend. Get there early to get beach space

This is a tiny, family-friendly beach on the sound side in Avon. No waves, very shallow water, lots of seaweed. Even hermit crabs crawling around. All in all a great time for the kidlings.
