I see children with severe infections in the hospital. I also run a laboratory that studies severe respiratory virus infections that children get, with a special focus on enterovirus D68 that can cause acute flaccid myelitis, a polio-like, paralyzing illness.

My primary clinical and research area of interest is plasma cell dyscrasias, such as multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. I am focused on clinical trials designed to improve the standard of care of patients with these disorders. In addition to clinical trials, I have an informatics background, which I leverage by applying clinically relevant questions to real-world evidence.
