Bald Mountain House, the highest elevation Bed & Breakfast in NC, is located inside the Wolf Laurel Resort, near Mars Hill, with private access to the Appalachian Trail at Big Bald Mountain. We offer 3-room suites, over 100' of covered verandas with long mountain views including Mt. Mitchell. At an elevation of 4500' we enjoy cool air in the summer and beautiful mountain foliage during leaf season. We are only 35 minutes from Asheville and the Biltmore Estate and one hour from Bristol Speedway. Bald Mountain House is a true "BnB", serving a full, hot chef-made breakfast, daily housekeeping, and no indoor cameras on site. The room rates shown plus tax are the bottom line.
