Asheville Normal School, originally known as the Home Industrial School, was a Presbyterian institution that opened in 1887 in Asheville, North Carolina. It later became a Teacher's College from 1892 to 1944, offering education and training for young girls to become educators. The school aimed to provide a well-rounded education, including practical skills in furniture and house construction, music, and teaching methods.

Under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Lawrence and with the support of the Presbyterian Board of Home Missions, the school grew and eventually became the Asheville Normal and Associated Schools, consisting of several sister schools. The institution's motto of Service guided its graduates to work with the people of western North Carolina and the Appalachian region, inspiring them to higher ideals through faith. Unfortunately, the school closed its doors in 1944 and the property was sold for a hospital.
