For more than six generations, the Longordo family-owned bakery, Apple Annie s Bake Shop has been making pasta, breads, cakes and cookies. It is known as one of the finest in the country and has been named the National Retail Bakery of the Year. All its baking is done on the premises in its own bake shop and its special desserts are hand-made and decorated. Cookies are made with pure sweet butter and hand-dipped in dark chocolate or plain butter. It bakes mini chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies, icebox and chewy chocolate rum balls rolled in pecans, macaroons and Florentines. Apple Annie s Bake Shop has two showrooms in Wilmington, N.C.

Best bakery as they serve items I recall growing up with. Had them make me Rum Cake for my wife's birthday & I only needed 1 day's notice!

You'll never buy bread anywhere else. I did try the scones, but they were Americanized, so they had too much sugar for a proper English scone. But the bread is fantastic!

From the aroma of fresh bread to very hot coffee you can't be disappointed. All of the bakery products are great.
