Established in 1980, Lower Cape Fear Hospice is a nonprofit organization that offers nonmedical services. The organization provides Palliative care, bereavement and community education services. It is affiliated with New Hanover Health Network and approved by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. It provides care to more than 18,000 patients and their families throughout southeastern North Carolina and serves more than 1,300 patients each year.
