Amanda B. Cole, MS, CCC-SLP

I am a speech-language pathologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of cognitive communicative challenges following concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other neurological conditions. My areas of clinical experience include acute hospital care, intensive inpatient neurological rehabilitation, outpatient neuro rehab, and multidisciplinary concussion care. As a clinician, I prioritize a personalized, evidence-based approach, working closely with patients and interdisciplinary teams to develop strategies that improve daily function and quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy watching Cleveland Cavaliers and UNC Tar Heel basketball, and searching for new music on Spotify.

I love the human voice and bring that passion to work with me every day. Having worked as a professional singer, actress and voice teacher prior to returning to graduate school for speech pathology, I understand the demands and pressures of being a professional voice user. Voice issues affect people of all ages and vocal demands. I treat each patient as an individual and we work together to create a treatment plan that serves their unique vocal needs.

Although cliché to say, the reason I became a physician was to help patients. I really enjoy partnering with patients – educating them on their disease process and discussing treatment options together. I like to come up with the best solution to the problem as a team. My areas of interest are hearing loss, ear disease and skull base disorders. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and miniature Goldendoodle.
