Founded in 1925, Yivo Institute for Jewish Research is one of the global leading resource centers for East European Jewish Studies, Yiddish language, literature and folklore and the American Jewish immigrants. Based in New York City, N.Y., the company offers a series of cultural events and films, adult education and Yiddish language classes, various scholarly publications, research opportunities and fellowships. Yivo Institute for Jewish Research also operates a Max Weinreich Center for advanced Jewish studies. The North Ward Center Inc

North Ward Center is located in the former William Clark House that was built in 1879. Its mission is to provide educational, cultural and social service programs to low income families residing in Essex County in Newark, N.J. The nationally registered historic mansion provides senior citizen transportation, youth and family outreach, a workforce foundation, after school enrichment, community affairs activities and diversity and cultural awareness.
