Yates County Industrial Development Agency
The Yates County History Center, anchored by the Oliver House Museum in Penn Yan, NY, is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich history of Yates County since 1860. Comprising four buildings, the center offers a variety of exhibits, events, and resources for visitors of all ages, including a special children's room themed around agriculture.
In addition to its engaging exhibits, the center features the Spencer Research Center, which provides access to a wealth of digital resources, including over 6,000 photographs and historical newspapers. Membership supports the center's mission and allows for continued programming that highlights the stories of Yates County's people, places, and events.
