This is for the drinks only-- and they were absolutely luscious! This spot in west village was super crowded at 11p on a thursday night ((!!)) at the bar & the tables-- did not expect that....

Wilfie & Nell opened in 2008 in a historic building was once home to the original Jack the Ripper pub; it has a long, storied past in the West Village's eclectic creative community. The bar carries on the neighborhood's tradition of uniting artists, musicians, writers and everyday folks in a cozy and inviting atmosphere with great drinks and satisfying food by Chef Russell Ashton. Wilfie & Nell has been lauded by the New Yorker and the New York Times, which calls it "a bar for eating and flirting" where "the simplest food [is] the most satisfying."
