Established in 1942, Center for Disability Services provides various residential, medical, educational, vocational, transportation and respite services to individuals with disabilities and their families. The company s medical services include primary care, dentistry, therapy and various specialty medical clinics. Its educational services include early intervention, integrated day care, preschool and school age programs, and specialty services, such as adaptive technology, autism and Mobility Opportunities Via Education programs. The center additionally offers various vocational services, such as day treatment, training and habilitation, sheltered employment and medically based programs, supported employment services and a technology center. The center s services include securing of clinical and family support services, benefit and entitlement assistance, and monitoring of program and service quality. It additionally offers assistance with educational opportunities, home and vehicle modification, purchase of adaptive equipment, scheduling of respite and recreational opportunities, community integration, guardianship issues, residential placement, advocacy, and development of individualized plans. Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc - Highland Ambulance EMS Inc _ Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc is a community based 501 ( c ) I Paramedic Ambulance company serving the towns of Ashfield, Chesterfield, Cummington, Goshen, Plainfield, and Williamsburg in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts. Each community participates in the operation of Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc by nominating one representative member of the board of directors and by contributing supplemental operating and capital funds based on their proportional populations. Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc began operations in July 2004 with the hiring of Michael Rock as the full time Service Director. Highland is headquartered in the Goshen Fire House at 56 Main Street, Goshen MA and operates two paramedic ambulances. Most of the employees of Highland live in the towns that Highland serves. Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc employs one full time paramedic Service Director, one full time Basic EMT, three part time paramedics, three part time Basic EMT's, and thirty on call EMT's. The residents of Highland's member towns are fortunate to have neighbors who give so much of their time to provide emergency medical services to their communities. Highland is proud of the professionalism and care with which Highland's EMT's perform their duties. Highland's goal is to have at least one EMT at the station 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the best response times possible for the citizens of the member communities. The mission of Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc is to provide the full range of emergency medical services to the member communities. These services include developing and practicing emergency response plans with the schools and camps in the member towns working with the Massachusetts Emergency Managment Authority ( MEMA ), FEMA, and Homeland Security to develop emergency response plans for the member towns providing transport services providing standby service for major community events such as the Chesterfield Parade and the Cummington Fair Highland Ambulance EMS, Inc is thankful for all of the financial contributions from organizations and individuals that make it possible for Highland to provide these community services.
