Chethan Sathya, MD, MSc, is a pediatric trauma surgeon and National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded firearm injury prevention researcher. He holds a master’s in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toronto, in addition to completing a fellowship in global journalism at the Munk School of Global Affairs and a global public health program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Working as a pediatric trauma surgeon in Chicago and New York exposed Dr. Sathya to many gun violence cases, which fueled his focus to find a solution. Firearm Safety is a Health Issue” research study. Dr. Jake Kleinmahon joined the faculty at Cohen Children's Medical Center as the Medical Director of Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure. Dr. Kleinmahon trained in Pediatrics at Tulane University Hospital and Ochsner Hospital for Children before completing fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure at Children s Hospital Colorado.
