Hack started an insurance agency in Mount Kisco and, as a result of several mergers of local agencies in subsequent years, the firm Hack-Schaefer-Ticknor, Inc. was created in 1971 with Eugene Hack as its President and Principal. When he retired in February 1991, his daughter, Nancy M. Hack, formed the successor firm, The Hack Agency, Inc., where she carries on the family tradition.
