Dr. Lin is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill CornellMedicine. Her practice interests include corneal diseases and corneal surgery, advanced cataract surgery, laser vision correction, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, andcomprehensive ophthalmology.Dr Lin graduated from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with double majors in Economics and Biology. She attended Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with the Alpha Omega Alpha Kuckein Research Scholarship. She completed her internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center / Stanford University Hospitals, and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as chief resident. She went on to complete the Cornea Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. She received the Real World Ophthalmology Skilled Surgeon Award, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Resident Excellence Award, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Young Eye Surgeons Best of Posters Award. She also gave a TEDx Talk at Rice University about memory tools.Dr. Lin is an author and co-author of numerous journal articles and book chapters. Her areas of research interest include demographic and large-scale clinical studies of keratoconus, ophthalmic imaging and artificial intelligence, and cataract surgery. She has presented her work at multiple national and international meetings and served as an instructor for cataract and anterior segment surgery at conferences.Dr. Lin has an interest in advocacy and health policy. She served as an Albert Schweizer Fellow, developing health tools for refugee and underserved populations. She worked as a policy intern for American College of Physicians on Capitol Hill. She currently holds positions on the Government Relations Committee of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Advocacy Committee of the Cornea Society, and the American Medical Association House of Delegates.Dr. Lin is currently accepting new patients. Recruited to Cornell in 1999, Dr. Segal was responsible for the founding and development of the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Stroke program and supervised NYPs designation as a New York State Primary Stroke Center. This program includes aggressive management of acute stroke, using both intravenous rtPA and intra-arterial therapies such as thrombolysis, and mechanical clot extraction. Dr. Segal's research interests include the relationship between Stroke and Cancer, through which he has collaborated extensively with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Segal has been the co-course director of the NYP Brain Attack Course which attracts 400 attendees yearly. Inpatient and outpatient clinical consultations address a wide range of issues relating to cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Segal also accepts referrals for general outpatient neurology.In 2010, Dr. Segal expanded his practice into Sleep Disorders and is currently active in the newly expanded and renovated Weill Cornell Sleep Disorders Center. Dr. Segal's sleep practice includes the full spectrum of Sleep Disorders, including but not limited to Sleep Apnea and Sleep Disordered Breathing, Insomnia/Hypersomnia, Narcolepsy, and Restless Legs Syndrome.
