Waterford Halfmoon Public School

The Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD is a partnership of schools, parents and community. It has an enrollment of more than 900 students and operates elementary, middle and high schools. Located in Waterford, N.Y., the district operates various clubs, programs, athletic departments and honor societies for the students. Its morning program is a full assembly that includes all kindergarten through fourth-grade students, staff and administration. It consists of songs, birthday greetings, learning activities and students recognitions. The district has a guidance office that provides scholarship information and makes regular visits to schools. It has college catalogues, books and access to computer program. The district also has a parent-teacher organization that offers activities, such as field trips, mother and son day, father-daughter dance and book fairs. Additionally, the Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD operates Tutoring And Literacy Empowering Students, a peer tutoring program.
