Walter’s Bar has been around for 24 years, offering cold beer and a good time to Midtown New Yorkers and tourists alike. We have recently undergone a major renovation, but we’re now up and running and ready to welcome you back. We might have a new look, but we still have the same neighborhood feel. Conveniently located next to Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and the New Yorker Hotel, Walter’s Bar is the perfect place to hang out before seeing a game or catching a train.

Solid dive bar a few blocks away from MSG Service is great, location is tight with limited seating. Strictly a bar with no food offerings. Excellent music on the jukebox

Perfect place for a little day drinking and conversation with other patrons. (Even better eavesdropping between bartender and patron!) if they had chips or snacks, I'd never leave.

Great dive with "cheaper" drinks and great volume on the TVs. Women's bathroom seemed to be having issues the weekend we came. Bartenders friendly and they have darts and some rickety chairs.
