The Friends of Valley Stream Dogs is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting and providing facilities for dog owners in Valley Stream, NY. They have successfully promoted the creation of a dog run in the village and continue to work towards its improvement and operation, as well as addressing dog welfare issues in the area.
The Valley Stream Dog Run, managed by Valley Stream Parks, offers a spacious half-acre section for all dogs and a smaller area exclusively for dogs weighing 30lbs or less. Open daily from 7am-9pm, the dog run is available to residents of Valley Stream, Valley Stream School Districts, and now also to residents of the Town of Hempstead.

This is a member only dog park requiring an access code to enter the park. It is nicely maintained with turf so it's weather friendly.
