The United Nations Development Business (UNDB) was launched in 1978 by the United Nations Department of Public Information in collaboration with multiple development banks to enhance transparency and promote fair competition in the global procurement market. For over 46 years, UNDB facilitated access to procurement opportunities and contract awards from various multilateral development banks, aid agencies, and select United Nations entities.

As of March 31, 2025, UNDB will phase down its operations, shifting stakeholders to the procurement websites of institutions previously represented in its database. These institutions include the World Bank Group, Inter-American Development Bank, and the Asian Development Bank, among others, which continue to play vital roles in global development and poverty reduction.
