Tops Friendly Market, located on Sheridan Drive in Buffalo, N.Y., is one of more than 120 Tops Market retail supermarkets located in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The store offers customers a variety of name brand and private label deli, meat, produce, bakery, seafood and general grocery items. It also offers health and beauty products and floral and pharmacy services. Tops Market is a member of the Ahold group of companies. Ahold USA, with headquarters in Landover, Md., also owns and operates Stop & Shop, Giant-Landover, Gianst-Carlisle and Tops. Tops primary markets are Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y., as well as markets in Cleveland and Northern Pennsylvania. The Tops Market concept began in Niagra Falls, N.Y., in the 1920s. The supermarket group was acquired by Ahold in 1991.

This is our first ever visit to this Tops store. A quick walk around while waiting for our fish fry, and the store seems bigger - MUCH bigger than our regular Tops spot closer to Niagara Falls....

Tops generally work well with Bottoms, but in our case, Barbie and I are both Tops, and then sometimes for each other we switch like Will Smith said to do. He doesn't have to cuss in his reviews...

I tend to walk to this Tops, and at some point always have to cross a Delaware. Wedged between Delaware Rd and Ave, this Tops sits next to an empty Bonton. Despite this, traffic is pretty busy...
